Red Lorry Yellow Lorry (commonly referred to simply as "The Lorries") is a post-punk band formed by guitarist/songwriter Chris Reed and vocalist Mark Sweeney, along with bassist Steve Smith and drummer Mick Brown (who would later join The Mission). Sweeney left the band in late 1981 and Reed permanently took over as vocalist, with Martin Fagan joining as a second guitarist. In his effort to leave town, her (now) ex texted his breakup from the train station while she was making breakfast at home. The TV was tuned in to the news channel which was airing a rare story on the latest crime-stopping efforts of Ultra Chan while she was reading the message. After reading the message, she blankly set her phone down on the table next to her chair, settled in front of the TV, and (in a mild psychotic episode) focused on Ultra Chan. The pint-sized, newly-single girl thought to herself, “I could be Ultra Chan…and then maybe he would see me differently and take me back!”more
